Fall Casualties

Monday, February 21st, 2011

So…I’ve been told many times that I’m distracted by shiny objects.  I think its more accurate to say that I’m distracted by bright objects.  While shooting a family portrait I walked past the same spot several times.  Each time I spotted this bright read leaf in the midst of mud, asphalt, and sticks.  I just had to snap a pic.  Who knew that years later I’d stumble across it and still get distracted by it.

Moral of the story…don’t forget to look down.  You might find something interesting.

Dusty and Aleesha Family Portraits : SLC Utah

Tuesday, February 1st, 2011

I don’t know what my deal is, but I’ve really been into playing around with black and white photography.   Maybe it’s because I’m surrounded by so many colors each day that it actually gives my brain a break.

Kenzie Senior Pics : Salt Lake City

Friday, September 10th, 2010

Kenzie, you rock!  How much fun can one shoot be?  Well, I can tell you this shoot was more fun than spending the day at the county fair and eating funnel cakes.  I don’t shoot a whole lot of senior portraits.  We have focused most of our efforts towards wedding photography, but Kenzie has convinced me that we need to look into shooting senior pictures more often.  I absolutely love how these pictures turned out.

10 Minute Twins Shoot

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

My wife was the first to find out that we were having twins.  She didn’t tell me for an entire week.  How ridiculous is that!?  A couple of days after she found out, we had a 4 day camping trip planned in the Uinta Mountains.  The whole week we were up there, she didn’t mention a word of it to me.  That’s impressive.  Apparently she wanted me to see the ultrasound that showed both babies.  Let’s just say that I was shocked, when I finally found out.

My twin girls turned 1 year old in February, and we decided to take them out for a photo shoot.   As  you have probably guessed from the title of this post, my girls would only stay still for about 10 minutes.  Even though the shoot was short, we had a lot of fun, and we were able to really capture their personalities.

Ozzy Christmas Pictures : Ogden Utah

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

My wife and I had Bryant and his family over for pork a few weeks ago. That’s right, pork that happened to be in the form of ribs. Gotta love the stuff. We also decorated some Christmas cookies, but the main attraction was the pork with homemade BBQ sauce. Bryant’s son Ozzy literally has a thousand faces, and I was lucky enough to capture a few of them while he was devouring his custom made gingerbread man.

On a side note, I asked Ozzy what his favorite food was. Without hesitation, he answered: MEAT! He takes after his father I guess.
